Real-life project managers know that being effective requires a lot more than a training certificate– it requires practical skills and on the job experience. To successfully manage a project, the project manager has to get a lot of things right:

• Lead, motivate and manage project teams – even when they don’t report to you.
• Communicate effectively to stakeholders and external parties.
• Identify, track and resolve issues
• Analyse and manage risks

• Manage the budget
• Deal with many different personalities, management styles and organisational politics
It can be challenging for a new project manager to take charge of his or her first project; or for a successful manager of small projects to be given a large project to manage. Even the more experienced project managers know they can’t be experts on everything.
Trigraph recognises these challenges and offers a personal and customised Project Management Mentoring Service. We can provide assistance to individual Project Managers that are or will be managing projects and who would like to have the assurance of having an experienced project manager available for guidance and support.
With the Mentoring Service, an experienced project manager will be assigned to meet with the Project Manager on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and will provide advice, guidance and mentoring as required – typically for the duration of the project.
