Brian was International IT Director for EMC Corporation with responsibility for the 70 strong IT function in Cork and for implementing International Portfolio Management. This involved implementing a new IT Governance process through the international business functions in EMEA and APJ. During this time he was responsible for the implementation of a number of key business projects and IT projects. He is experienced in bid management for infrastructure and support services. He is also experienced in compliance having implemented IT controls to meet Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
Brian worked for a number of years in the EMC Support Organisation as Services Delivery Manager with responsibility for service deliver in a global call centre. This included developing global support processes, managing measurement and performance management systems and outsourcing a core helpdesk function.
Brian’s recent engagements have included project manager for a core payments systems in a telecommunications company and Europe & Middle-East Support manager for a 600 seat call centre.
In addition to IT management, Brian has a wide range of expertise including Support Centre management, project management (specialising in large and complex projects), project risk management, business analysis and systems integration.
Brian qualified with a B.Sc in Computer Science from University College Cork. During his career he has worked for Trigraph, EMC, IBM, and Colman Computer Services. |
